Little Sand Lake is one of the cleanest, clearest lakes in Minnesota. We thank our lake monitoring volunteers for the work they do to ensure the lake testing is completed and results are submitted. The various tasks these volunteers complete are listed in the table below including the timeframe and the volunteers who participate. We are always looking for more volunteers to learn about the lake by participating. Testing occurs from May through September. Detailed tasks and information can be found at this link.
Sample DNR instructions and forms can be found here.
Big thanks to our volunteers who are currently involved, who have been involved over the years and who originally started monitoring our lake. It takes time and energy, but is so important to maintain Little Sand Lake’s water quality.
