Charitable Lake Fund
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is the administrator of the Little Sand Lake Area Endowment Fund. This fund was set-up in 2023 after membership approval. The goal is to build long-term reserves to support AIS prevention, clean-up and/or treatment in the future should the need arise.
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation provides regular updates to the Board of Directors and the fund oversight committee. The fund has two parts: a permanent endowment that is invested and growing for future needs; the second part is also for long-term needs but has flexibility should the association need the funds for a special project to address other lake needs on or around the lake.
Individuals and families can donate to the fund and give a legacy gift through their Last Will & Testament or a Trust. If you would like to give to the Charitable Lake Fund at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, please contact our Treasurer through our email coordinator at:[email protected].
Please know the Charitable Lake Fund is only one way to give to Little Sand Lake. See the “Dues and Donations” page for more ways to support the lake association. Thank you.
